Professional Picture Frame Vises
|
|
Listed
below are the same professional picture frame vises in use in our
picture frame shop. These Professional picture frame vises are large
beautiful moulding vises, very nice. These are much nicer and stronger
than the cheaper models being sold. Using one of these picture frame
vises you can "work" a troublesome picture frame corner
to make it fit, which is more difficult to do using the small picture
frame clamps above. Most people buy one or two of these vises if
doing more than a couple of dozen frames a year. These vises are
equipped with speed handles covered with texform which gives a soft
feel and is easy on the hands.

Professional 4 inch Picture Frame Vise
Large 4 inch professional picture frame vise will clamp any picture
frame mouldings up to 4 inches wide. This vise is the most common
vise and is quite heavy. The jaws hold both pieces very securely.
You can easily work corners together using one of these vises. Read
more about their use in our learning center. Unlike cheaper brands,
this vise is made from very heavy cast steel as are all our professional
picture frame vises. These vises will last a lifetime or two..
This is the most commone size vise in use.

Professional Miter Vise
|
  |
|
Professional Miter Vise shown is perfect for joining miter
joints from 0 degrees to 90 degrees. Note, unlike the common four
inch professional vise shown above, this vise features fully adjustable
angles with positive stops at 0 degrees, 15 degrees, 30 degrees,
45 degrees, and 90 degrees. It also has tilting features which makes
this miter vise unique and easy to work with when joining moldings.
This vise opens to 4 1/4 inches and rotates 360 degrees. Please
note: This vise is not rusty! The brown coloration seen on the vise
above is due to a very heavy coat of protective spray put on the
vise jaws for shipping and storage purposes. Also, this vise is
equipped with a beautiful degree marker shown as shiny white in
the picture. Again, most people use the common 4 inch vise. This
is a nice vise when putting corners together that have corners which
are not always 90 degrees - as some specialty pictures have. But
of course works great for joining regular cut 90 degree corners
as well. Might add that it is also a great toy to play with.....

Professional 7 inch Picture Frame Vise
Super large 7 inch professional picture frame vise will clamp
any picture frame mouldings up to 6 1/2 inches wide. This vise is
very large and quite heavy. It is the biggest picture frame vise
made.
Most people and many Pro's start with and use a 4 inch picture
frame vise as listed above. This vise is intended for those putting
very large picture frame mouldings together.

| Most of the larger vises above
have been out of stock since May due to the big storms and destruction
overseas. When they become available again we will be sure to quickly
have them back in stock. It is out of our control. ThankYou RWG |

Professional Picture Frame Glue
This is the strongest professional wood glue we have ever used!
You asked for a stronger wood glue it so here it is. Specialty
formulated, we've blended together a pure white, clear drying wood
glue that is the absolute strongest wood glue we have ever, ever,
found. It blows all the other common wood glues we have tried away
including our original glue. If this glue don't hold your wood corners
together for you, nothing else will. When you get disgusted with
all the rest, try this...It's the best! We HIGHLY recommend this
wood glue to home picture framers because using it you just won't
have problems with picture frame moulding corners coming loose when
driving in v-nails.
This stuff is super strong. We've tried every glue on the market
and none has yet been found to be anywhere near as strong as this
glue. This glue is thick and creamy going on. Our glue is not the
same as other wood glues, it is 10 times stronger than common wood
glues. It is a bummer to get a picture frame all glued together,
then pound a nail into it and have the frame corner come unglued.
You will have trouble using the common wood glues found in hardware
stores such as Elmers Glue and Titebond. Try our glue, it is an
amazing difference. This glue sets up fast. Corners can be repositioned
in 15 minutes to do the next corner. In two hours glue has reached
75% strength and frames can easily be nailed together by hand.
You don't have to coat both sides of the frame corner and you don't
have to coat all of one side, just run a bead of glue on one corner.
When pressed together if you have quite a bit of glue coming out
the seam, you are using too much. This glue is super strong and
you don't have to go over board on using it. This glue is at least
10 times stronger than Elmers Glue, or Titebond Glue for example.
In fact both those glues aren't very good at all in glueing frame
corners together as they aren't strong enough to hold the corners
together when driving in v nails and the frames just snap apart.
We encourage you to use our glue, not to sell you anything, but
to make your job and life easier. As to how many frames each bottle
does, our figures are based on a 1 inch wide moulding. Larger mouldings
take more glue.

Rub
and Buff
This is a most wonderful product! Rub and Buff is the original
wax metallic picture frame finish. It is made using special waxes,
fine metallic powders and select pigments. The unique blend gives
pieces decorated with Rub and Bluff a finish that no paint can duplicate.
It can be applied to any clean, dry surface as well as over previously
painted surfaces. To use just apply a small amount on your fingertip
or small brush and rub it evenly and thinly over any surface. Soft
clothes and bristle brushes may also be used. It dries in a few
seconds, then can be buffed with a soft cloth or facial tissue to
achieve a hand rubbed lustrous finish. We use it to fix many
frames. Very long lasting 1/2 oz tube. This stuff is wonderful.
The results it produces cannot be obtained any other way! It dries
very fast and covers really good. The colors can be mixed to get
any shade you want. You can buff this stuff to a wonderful sheen.
The ebony will fix black picture frames and black grand pianos perfectly.
The golds are all a differant color but can be mixed to get the
color you need. A tube of this stuff goes a very long way, it seems
to last forever.

Professional
Picture Frame Touch Up Markers
The Professional Picture Frame Touch Up Markers below are used
to touch up scrapes and bruises on picture frames. They are also
used to darken the edges of the picture frame corners before gluing
the picture frame corners together. This gives a really professional
looking corner.
We use these picture frame markers on the corners of every picture
frame that we put together in our shop. You don't paint the whole
corner with the markers, all you do is paint the very top edge of
the picture frame molding where it comes together. It makes a world
of difference in the look of your picture frames. These markers
will last the average home picture framer a very long time.
These picture frame markers are very strongly recommended by us
to make your corners look professional. They are made special for
picture framers to match the woods most commonly used and to blend
in with out painting over. Example, regular markers such as you
find in stores won't work. Store markers contain paint which paints
over the picture frames, you would ruin a picture frame using regular
store markers. These special picture frame markers contain real
wood stains.
In using these professional picture frame touch up markers to put
a new picture frame together all you need to do is mark just the
top edge of the frame corners. This way, after your picture frames
are joined, the corner seam almost disappears. Using them makes
a big difference in the looks of your finished picture frames. See
them in use in our learning center - How To Make Picture Frames.
Do not confuse these markers with "Magic
Markers".
These are all together different with different ink formulations.
