What is dry mount adhesive? The dry mounting adhesive we sell is
a thin sheet of paper covered with a very thin layer of strong glue.
To use, you cut this sheet of paper slightly larger than the art
you want to mount. Then lay the sheet of paper, glue side down on
a mount board of your choice, such as mat boards, mount boards,
foam core board, or any other smooth sheet. Then you use the dry
mounting squeegee and burnish the glue down to the board as shown
above under burnishing.
After burnishing the glue down, peel the paper off the mount board
slowly and you will find the glue left laying nice and smooth on
the backboard. Now take your art and lay it on top of the glue (face
side up of course) . Then lay the special dry mount release paper
(supplied) over the top of the art and again using the squeegee
burnish the art down onto the glue. You don't have to over do this,
the glue sets up even stronger after a couple of hours. After burnishing
the art, lift off the special release paper and presto, your art
is nicely dry mounted ! Then you can trim around your art or photo
with a sharp knife.
Once tried, you will never be with out our dry mount adhesive!
It works great to mount your photographs.
Our dry mounting adhesive is sold in 4 foot rolls and the special
release paper is provided. The release paper is used over and over,
don't throw it away until you have used up all your dry mounting
adhesive. The dry mounting squeegee is NOT supplied. You must order
that separately. We do this because you don't need a new one every
time. The squeegee will last you a very long time so save it. Depending
on the size, you can do lots of pictures with each 4 foot roll.
Thousands of people every day use the United States Postal service
web site to ship packages using their special Click and Ship It,
part of their web site. If you run a small home based business shipping
a few packages every day you would be very familiar with using USPS
Click and Ship. When you make the postal label and print it off
on your computer, you than need to cut the label out of your piece
of paper and stick it to the package. This represents a major problem
due to the fact that you cannot apply clear tape over the top of
the label. To do so means the postal service might not be able to
read the bar codes and send the package back to you which means
you would lose that postage and have to reship again. It is a very
real problem and the only other alternative is to buy the expensive
label sheets to use in your printer. Shown below in the pictures
is the perfect, cheap way for you to use our dry mounting adhesive
to stick those labels to your package.
The steps are, print your postal label using your printer onto
plain paper. Cut out the label and lay it face side up onto the
dry mount paper. Cover the labels with the special release paper
and squeegee it down onto the dry mount paper. Peel off the label
and stick it to your package.. It is that simple......... Use the
same procedure on your pieces of art! As you can see the 11 inch
roll can do lots of USPS labels without hardly any waste. Note how
to use the scissors to hold the dry mount roll open while applying
the postal click and ship it labels to the dry mount paper. The
link to buy our rolls of dry mount are below the pictures.
