Do
you have several pieces of art that youd like to display but arent
sure how to do it? Do you think that the smaller pieces wont fill
up a significant area on your wall? Have you considered grouping the pieces
together? Grouped displays are a wonderful solution to these decorating
dilemmas. First, decide what pieces you will be working with. Bring any
pieces that you need to have framed into our shop, and well work
with you to incorporate them with your already framed pieces. When you
begin to plan the grouping, visualize the general look youre going
for. Think of it as one large piece. How much space do you want to fill?
What shape do you want the borders of the grouping to have? Once you do
this, it is a good practice to lay the pieces out on the floor. This enables
you to arrange and rearrange the pieces before actually hanging anything
on the wall. It may help if you place the outer pieces first and then
fill in with the rest.
And dont feel like you must keep the elements of the grouping to
one type of artwork. Many times, youll find that mixing and matching
photographs, prints, and even objects will result in a unique look. One
way to unify them is to have them framed in a similar fashion. On
the other hand, if you have numerous pieces that are quite similar and
are looking for a way to distinguish each of them, we can help you choose
framing that is a bit different for each to create variations on the same
theme.
And lastly, if you do not have a large wall but have several pieces youd
like to display together, remember that a wall grouping doesnt need
to be limited to artwork. Arrange your framed pieces around lamps, mantels,
or any other attractive element in the room youd like to accentuate.Display
all your framed pieces, even the small ones, proudly. We'll help you create
a display that's big on impact!
