The King Of Beasts!

Our museum houses the king of beasts! This beautiful animal has become the focal point of attention of the children that visit. The kids really appreciate being able to view these animals up close! Children come to the museum from all over central Maine. The nearby schools bus them in on field trips. There are quite a number of other African mounts in the museum at the present time, including leopard, kudos, eland.

This leopard is another fine example of the work of Mr. Reimond Grignon.. His cats are so expressive and life like in every detail! He puts every wrinkle and fold of skin back into its proper place. He does a lot of African game mounts and there is usually some always on display. Although our museum is small, the kids really enjoy coming for a first hand look. The mounts are very impressive and look truly alive.
