Sell Framed Art That People Want! |
|
|
To sell framed art you really need to have them framed using the finest of wood mouldings. Use mouldings that have a nice finish, and are easy to repair and touch up if scratched. This is important. Some mouldings are very difficult to repair. We try to sell mouldings that you can touch up and make look just like new again. We sell special pens for just this purpose. All the corners on every picture we sell are tight fitting, and are heavily glued and nailed together. Our frame corners are strong and look excellent! We use only 100 percent pure rag mats on every picture we sell. These mats are very archival. These are the same mats used by the worlds finest museums. All the mats are properly cut without excess over cuts on the corners. You should use the same kind of quality materials on the framed art you are trying to sell. All the pictures we sell are published on 80 to 120 lb archival lithograph paper. This is the best paper available to publishers to make prints on. The inks are of the highest quality and are very fade resistant. All of our pictures are archival mounted on the best backing boards. Nothing is dry mounted, nor is any picture mounted on cardboard. We use only the best glass on every picture we sell. We use conservation glass on every limited edition print and pure Tru-Vue Premium Clear Glass on open edition prints. All of our mounted pictures are sealed to keep out moisture and dust so you do not need to worry about dust getting under the glass and into the pictures which happens a lot with unsealed pictures. This is one of the many hidden steps we take to give you a quality product, steps that you would never see. Try to give people the pictures that they want. We do not buy ten thousand feet of two or three kinds of moulding and put all our pictures on these. Instead we use many different mouldings. After mounting many of these pictures many times, we know what mat colors to use and mouldings to use that really go well with each picture. The last thing you want is all the pictures in your store or gallery to look the same. You want as many combinations as you can get so that every there is always some that every customer likes. All you need is to have your customer find that one great picture that they really want, and a sale is made. Many times customers look at our pictures, go away and come back a few days later to buy it. |
