Mark enjoys painting scenes that depict our natural wildlife and our great outdoors. His creations are a major part of his life and depict the things that Mark enjoys most. The essence of the wildlife experience is what Mark tries to capture in his works. His creations are his contributions to the conservation and preservation of wildlife habitat. Mark is very active in conservation groups such as Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited and others.

Mark was born and raised in a small town in south, central Illinois, called Chatham. Raised on fishing and hunting, Mark’s love for the great outdoors has grown since he was a teenager. Now his love expands into capturing wildlife in the form of acrylic painting, oil painting and pencil sketches.
