"Light reveals and defines, color creates mood, and shadows harmonize and connect my paintings." These are the words spoken by artist Kiff Holland, about his painting techniques. Mr. Holland was born in South Africa, where he received his formal art training. In 1975, he immigrated to Canada. In addition to his work as an artist, Mr. Holland teaches in the Design and Illustration Department at Capilano College.

Mr. Holland is the past president of the Federation of Canadian artists and was elected a signature member of the American watercolor Society in 1992. His work has won many awards in Canada and in the United States. Many galleries throughout Canada and the U. S. show his fine art work.

Mr. Holland lives with his wife Janet, on the edge of the forest in North Vancouver.
